May 2018 Bulletin
Lesson Payments – May & June Lessons must be paid in full by June 2nd or a $20 late fee will be charged. ADS – All Ads are to be turned in by May 26, 2018 by 2:00 SHARP!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!
Memorial Day – We will be closed on Monday May 28, 2018 for Memorial Day.
Tickets – All ticket money must be turned in by May 26, 2018!! Anyone who loses a ticket is responsible for the payment of that ticket. NOTE: If 10 tickets cannot be sold per family, an $80 performance fee will be charged!! This has been in the bulletins since October – NO EXCEPTIONS! Tickets will be sold at the door for $30 a ticket.
Recital Video – Anyone who is interested in purchasing a DVD of the recital, please see Kelly. This price of the DVD is $35.00. THERE IS NO VIDEOTAPING OF THE RECITAL ALLOWED OF THE RECITAL!!
Summer Classes – If anyone is interested in summer classes, please sign up in the studio office. A schedule will be posted in the studio after sign ups. 1 class $100, 2 classes $150, 3 classes $200 & the stretch class will be free if you take 3 classes
NOTE: SUMMER CLASSES ARE MANDATORY IN ORDER TO DO COMPETITION!
We will be offering HIP HOP this summer as well! Hip Hop will be Wednesday nights from 7:30 to 8:30 and will be $15 per class!
Please Note: Students should not wear any underwear under costumes or jewelry on stage – except the jewelry which was assigned!! Also, NO nail polish except for clear.
Dress Rehearsal – All students are to report to Lyman Hall High School on Friday June 15, 2018 for 5:00 PM with all their costumes and accessories. All students must attend. Every student will be able to watch the show during dress rehearsal ONLY! As soon as students are in full costume, they will be able to sit in the audience and view the show. Two numbers prior to going on stage, monitors will bring students backstage to line them up. During DRESS REHEARSAL ONLY we start with the finale first so the little kids are able to leave once their dances are finished.
Recital – All students are to report to Lyman Hall High School on Saturday June 16, 2018 for 5:00 PM. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ANY STUDENT SIT IN THE AUDIENCE WITH OR WITHOUT COSTUMES ON SATURDAY!
NO STUDENT SHOULD BE SEEN IN THE HALLS OR LOBBY DRESSED IN THEIR COSTUMES. THERE SHOULD BE NO TAP SHOES WORN IN THE HALLWAYS! ONCE YOU ARE IN A COSTUME, YOU MUST REMAIN BACKSTAGE. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT IN THE AUDIENCE – YOU WILL NOT GO ON STAGE!!
NO UNDERWEAR NO NAIL POLISH NO JEWELRY
Recital Hair – All classes will wear their hair in a ponytail. Ponytails are worn high not low!!! The hair must be neat and completely slicked back!!! Again, no nail polish!
Rules and regulations – At dress rehearsal all students are to enter the auditorium and be seated by their class. Miss Skye, Miss Emma, Miss Maddi, Miss Amia, and Miss Briana will escort each class to an assigned dressing room. Students are to use the same dressing room recital night. Only students and monitors are allowed backstage during dress rehearsal and recital night. SORRY, NO DADS ALLOWED!!
Dressing room monitors will be assigned to each dressing room. Please listen to the dressing room monitors and follow their instructions. Please keep the noise down backstage and in the dressing rooms.
PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING IN THE DRESSING ROOMS OR ANYTHING THAT BELONGS TO THE SCHOOL!
NO STUDENT IS ALLOWED TO STAND IN THE WINGS AND WATCH THE SHOW!!!!
Please label all costumes and accessories with your children’s name so any lost items can be easily returned.
Everyone should bring their own makeup, hair brush, hair spray, bobby pins, safety pins, needle thread, scissors, band aides etc. PLEASE WEAR MAKEUP!! The more the better! The stage lights wash out the dancers.
Mother and students should check the dressing rooms after dress rehearsal and the recital for any items that may be left behind. Any items left in the dressing rooms should be returned to Miss Barb or Miss Sue. Please dispose of any garbage, food, drinks etc. (It is recommended that you provide your child with snacks and clear liquid drinks). We must leave the school clean!! NO FOOD OR DRINK IN THE AUDITORIUM OR HALLS!
During the performances – NO ONE is to enter or exit the auditorium until the dancers are finished. Wait until the dance is completed before going in and out. It’s NOT fair to the children performing. PLEASE FOLLOW THIS RULE AND SHARE IT WITH YOUR GUESTS. Thank you! We look forward to an amazing show!!!
